Signal Station

Capture signals. Notice what changes.

Scan nearby wireless signals, save sensor readings and compare places over time. Capture from Android or Pebble, then ask a language model about what you find. The full notebook and conversation stay on your phone.

Android 8 or later · 0.7.0-local-dev · build 20 · 161.0 MB · Pebble 1.8.1
Early access. The watch app is still in testing.

User guide

Explore, record, ask

Around me shows nearby Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signals, repeat sightings and broad device types. Save a capture or record at your chosen interval, for a set duration or until you stop. Local comparisons show what changed.

Ask your chosen language model about selected readings, or chat without collecting anything. Android keeps the full reply. Pebble shows a short, scrollable version. To read the rest, hold the middle watch button on a reply, then tap Open full reply on your phone. The backlight stays on during watch app use.

Get started

  1. Install on Android. Open the downloaded APK and allow your browser to install apps if asked. Install over an existing preview to keep your history.
  2. Capture or chat. Captures and local history need no key. For chat, open Ask → Set up answers and choose your provider and model. Hosted providers need your key and may charge for usage. Compatible phones can use Gemini Nano while this app is visible, or an optional downloaded Gemma model. Local answers never silently switch to a hosted provider. Review each question before sending.
  3. Add Pebble, if you like. Keep your usual Pebble app installed and your watch paired there. Open the downloaded PBW with that app. In Signal Station, open Settings → Connected devices → Watch connection and tap Check connection.

Watch dictation depends on your model and Pebble app. You can always type on the phone. The 1.8.1 watch preview adds question review and preserves missing measurement times as unknown. Physical validation of this revision is still in progress.

Your home, from phone or watch

Connect Home Assistant, openHAB or Geepers in Home using your server address and token. Choose readings, controls and scenes for your tiles, then select watch favorites. Hold Down at the watch home screen to open them. Use Android build 20 with this watch preview.

Home access starts off. Enable it for a chat to let a supported model query your chosen connected systems. The readings it retrieves go to that model provider.

Your tile choices do not limit the connected catalog available to that chat.

Review and confirm each action before it runs. Each confirmation permits one execution; saved settings do not authorize later actions. A confirmation from your server does not mean the device physically moved. This preview is still in testing on household devices. Home setup and permissions

Your data and your choices

Captures and conversations stay on your phone until you choose to share them. Review the question and selected context before sending to your provider. Optional weather and place lookups contact their named services; scheduled model analysis sends readings only when you enable it.

Choose each source yourself. Available readings depend on hardware and permissions; Android may delay scans or return cached results. Export your notebook as JSON, Markdown or CSV, or delete records in the app. The user guide covers sources, recording and privacy controls.
