The Mac app: Current Direct version 1.0 (156) requires Apple silicon and macOS 14 or later. It is signed and notarized; drag it from the disk image to Applications. Choose a native MLX model to download, connect to Ollama running on your Mac, or use the built-in system and heuristic options. Image descriptions are generated locally. The Direct edition offers signed manual and opt-in periodic update checks.

Google Play beta: Prefer Play Store updates to sideloading? Join the Coolhand beta group first (I’d really appreciate it). I’ll add this app’s opt-in link here when its Play beta is ready.

Installing on Android: Tap Android Download, open the downloaded file, and allow installs from this source if Android asks. If Android blocks the installation, tap Advanced, then Install anyway.

Legacy desktop app

The archived 2024 Electron edition uses a separately installed Ollama service. It remains available for older workflows, but it is no longer the current native Mac app.
